Traffic Police of J and K today intimated advisory for tourists, yatries and truck movement to aware about the timings and restrictions of traveling for NH-44 while having Yatra-2022.
Empty tankers and trucks upto 10 tyres are advised to ply via Mughal Road towards Jammu.
Loaded trucks upto 10 tyres including those loaded with fresh perishable items shall preferentially use Mughal Road towards Jammu.
Mughal Road timings have also been extended from 7am to 4pm, for the present, subject to the daily assessment by Traffic authorities.
The advisory elaborated that the movement via NH-44
The vehicles and trucks having more than 10 Tyres helpline via National heavy 44. Vehicles with more than 10 Tyres having fresh perishable items should reach qazigund Naka before 2:00 p.m. Moreover these vehicles would be parked separately and would be given preference and traffic is released.
Yatries/Tourists in Kashmir Valley other than via Yatra Convoys are advised to travel in the Kashmir Valley only between 7am to 6pm. In case the Yatries/Tourists fail to reach their destination within the stipulated time, the security forces shall make such Yatries/Tourists halt for the night at the nearest lodgement Centre the Advisory reads, the traffic advisory added.
