Ramzana hospital temporarily barred by authorities from carrying any Surgical procedures
OPD services to continue, OT sealed till further orders
Srinagar, Sept 12: Following the alleged medical negligence, authorities in Srinagar on Monday temporarily barred surgical procedures at Ramzaan hospital in Gogji Bagh by ordering the closure of it's Operation Theatre.
An official from the health department known to the development told Rising Kashmir that after concerned Police authorities took the cognizance of the allegations, an enquiry team has been constituted to probe the allegations and has temporarily ordered the closure of Operation Theatre till further orders.
"Surgical procedures at the health facility have been temporarily barred till further orders, however OPD services will be available to those who want to avail", said an official.
Meanwhile spokesperson for DHSK Dr. Mushtaq said that a probe has been ordered to ascertain the facts about the allegations, levelled against the doctors.
Notably, on September 09 a lady from Nowgam Srinagar died after which her family alleged that she died of medical negligence.
Meanwhile, Rising Kashmir tried to reach out to authorities of Ramazana Hospital over the phone to know their response and spoke to the manager. He said that a committee has been already framed by the CMO Srinagar and they are waiting for the report, however he refused to speak further on the matter.
